WWIII am so obsessing with everything WWII related lately. I'm watching Nazi/WWII documentaries, renting movies that have anything to do with Germany or Hitler or WWII in general, reading wikipedia articles, looking up fashion of that era, everything.
I think mainly it has to do with the fact that I made a new character thats German and I'm leaning toward making the story's time set in the 1940s.
We watched Valkyrie last night, actually. It was ok :/ but one thing that rather annoyed me was that only..what, 4 or 5 actors had a German accent? Only 2 of those were main characters, Hitler and Quirnheim. lololol omg I would have been 'WTF'ing if Hitler didnt have a German accent.
And Tom Cruise didnt even sound like he TRIED. He has the thickest American accent. I could never even hear an American accent until this movie. And some of the other main characters had BRITISH accents?
Ugh. Weird. It just seems so LAZY >C Anyway the guy that played Hitler actually did a really good job, I really liked Quirnheim and Olbreicht too. And the guy that was Stauffenburg's assistant (Haeften?)he was awesome.
I could even recognize the people in Hitler's inner circle, WOOT. Even though I have NO idea how to pronounce Goebbels (I tend to pronounce it Go-ey-bulls, which I'm SURE is wrong, PLEASE if anyone knows, do tell x_X and is it pronounced Joseph or Yoseph?). I forgot the tubby guys name though >C
They did do a REALLY good job at getting actors that really looked like their characters.
I'm just so FASCINATED with any time period before 1960, ESPECIALLY 1920-1950. And the main thing I love of those time periods is the fashion |D I do not agree at all with Hitler, or the Nazi ways, but DAMN they had fine fashion. Overcoats and sexy hats (Crush Caps I think?), hell yes.
Which always makes me feel wrong too :'c like "Should I be liking this?" xD;; I hope this doesnt make me a bad person.
Anywayyyyy I'm working at Hollywood Video now, huzzah.
And as a last note, German is one heck of a sexy language. And Russian. Mmmmmhm. And I wish suits were still in fashion D: More men need to wear suits. Or fancy suit shirts. YES.

It does make you wonder though xDD the computer sounding like that near him. Did he PROGRAM her to sound like that? Just cause he's that lonely? Or is she just enamored with his epicness?
D: Ugh, I know. I heavily rely on the 2D concept art to get a feel for what their design was before being translated into 3D. x_X Otherwise it just looks off and or is very hard to grasp.

I'm lame, I'm doing a bit of a comic, but I added a character to go along with him. I think she compliments his...abrasivness. Maybe he did program her like that. I wouldn't be surprised any. Maybe I just over analyze him a bit. But since we're on the subject of him anyways...
We've seen him naked? God dammit, where are his bits? It makes no sense!

There another part too, when Gallaxhar is giving the order to the clones to take Susan to the incinerator. He goes "No, 3 back" and the third toward the back leans over and gives a small wave with this huge smile xDDD I cracked up so hard when I saw it.

BUT I havnt seen anything of your character to make me think that any of that stuff is going to happen
Bahaha, I tend to over analyze EVERY character I like and or make xD I go into this huge exploration of their personality and try to figure out their way of thinking, their past and how it shaped them into what they are today as WELL as of all the little details one isnt really supposed to think of because "Its just a movie" xDD which I tend to never actually take into account. That kind of stuff just FASCINATES me xDD cause I'm weird like that.
The only thing I can think of, in that case, is that maybe his species follows the squid/octopus species when it comes to 'bits'. Granted I dont know a damn thing about that when it comes to squids/octopi BUT thats the only reason I can really see.

Yeah, I tried way hard to make sure that my character (Reeve) was going to be able to stay out of the Mary Sue range. I can't stand that. There was a story I read on FF.Net that all the mosters got other powers as well, Dr. C could see through walls, inseco could change from one thing to another. And Gallaxhar changed into this...Scorpian thing... And not one of them stuck to thier original personalites. At least in my opinion. I least I gave Reeve faults. She's way to overproctive of her daughter, Roslyn. It's going to be causeing major problems. Yay for drama!

I dont recall seeing that one, but from the sounds of it I probably skipped it all together :/ it sounds like a mighty eye roller.
